Contraindications for hydrodermabrasion

Unfortunately, there are some conditions that present contraindications to hydrodermabrasion.  Please review the following list. Please note that this list is not exhaustive – if you have a medical condition that is not listed here, please feel free to contact us or if in doubt, please refer to your General Practitioner.

Minor contraindications, affected areas will be avoided:

·        Seborrheic Dermatitis

·        Eczema

·        Telangiectactasia (broken capillaries)

·        Mild to Moderate Rosacea

·        Raised Moles, Keloid Scars, Skin Tags, Warts

·        Psoriasis

·        Cuts, Bruises, Abrasions

Treatment should be delayed if any of the following are present:

·        Skin cancer (facial)

·        Severe sun burn

·        Moderate to severe inflammatory acne

·        Active cold sores, viral lesions, open skin lesions, impetigo

·        Active inflammatory acne outbreak

·        Uncontrolled Rosacea

·        Uncontrolled Diabetes

·        Ringworm

·        Lack of tactile sensation
